Monthly Free Garden Programming

This summer, Urban Bounty will be hosting by-donation monthly workshops at 3 community garden locations this summer: Terra Nova, Paulik, and Hamilton. Event descriptions and dates are below.

Hamilton Community Garden

2nd Saturdays (April-October)

Dates: April 11 (Tree Planting Event!), May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12 (see the full list and sign up here)

  • 10-11 a.m.: Mindfulness in the Garden – Cultivate presence in our monthly mindfulness workshop at Hamilton Community Garden. With meditation, movement, and hands-on activities, learn to slow down, engage your senses, and find calm in nature.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Transforming Landscapes: Native Plant Walk and Workshop – Join our interactive workshop and explore local restoration projects transforming the landscape. Learn from experts about invasive removal, native planting, and community-driven efforts to restore biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.

Paulik Community Garden

3rd Fridays (April-October)

Dates: April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16  (see the full list and sign up here)

  • 10-11 a.m.: Mindfulness in the Park – Cultivate presence in our monthly mindfulness workshop at Paulik Park. With meditation, movement, and hands-on activities, learn to slow down, engage your senses, and find calm in nature.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Forest Garden Foundations – Discover the secrets of urban food forestry in our monthly workshop. Explore permaculture design, soil health, and plant care while uncovering the vibrant layers of Paulik Park’s thriving edible forest garden.

Terra Nova Community Garden

4th Saturdays (April-October)

Dates: April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25, August 22, September 26, October 24 (see the full list and sign up here)

Schedule: 

  • 10-11 a.m.: Mindfulness in the Garden – Cultivate presence in our monthly mindfulness workshop at Hamilton Community Garden. With meditation, movement, and hands-on activities, learn to slow down, engage your senses, and find calm in nature.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Organic Gardening Basics – Grow with the seasons in our monthly hands-on workshop at Terra Nova Community Garden! Learn seasonal tasks, seed starting, soil care, and ergonomic gardening tips with expert guidance and an interactive Q&A.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Workshops can only run if there are enough participants. 
If there is low registration for a workshop, Urban Bounty will cancel the workshop no later than 1 week before the workshop date and participants will receive a full refund. We appreciate your support in spreading the word so we can ensure all our workshops run as planned.

Workshop Refund Policy

Unfortunately we do not offer ticket refunds if you are unable to attend a workshop. You are welcome to give your ticket to someone else who can attend the workshop in your place. Otherwise, your ticket fees will go directly to supporting the facilitator and Urban Bounty’s workshop programming. We appreciate your understanding.
